Hi, I'm Mrs. Schones!

I've been an educator in IUSD for the past 16 years. I have taught at Northwood for the last 8 years. I am excited to teach 1st grade again this year!

I received my Bachelors Degree in psychology and my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Vanguard University. I also received my Masters Degree in Educational Administration from Concordia University. I have wanted to be a teacher ever since I was in 2nd grade and I think that teaching is the best job in the world! I am very passionate about teaching my students and helping them be successful in their education!

When I am not at school, I am with my 6 year old son Wyatt (who attends Northwood and will be in 1st grade this year!) and my husband, Danny. We love to play soccer, go hiking, go biking, read books, play games and go to the beach.
